Loan Originator (Licensed)

About the Role

Aravian Financial is an independent mortgage brokerage based in Houston, Texas. We are seeking a licensed Loan Originator to join our growing team. As a broker, we have access to 20+ wholesale lenders and offer every major loan program — conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, Non-QM, DSCR, and specialty products. You will have the tools, the lender access, and the support to serve borrowers across Texas at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans for purchase and refinance transactions
• Counsel borrowers on loan programs, qualification requirements, and the mortgage process
• Collect and review loan applications and supporting documentation
• Work with processors and lenders to move files efficiently through underwriting
• Build and maintain referral relationships with real estate agents and other partners
• Maintain active NMLS license and comply with all state and federal regulations
• Meet or exceed monthly production targets

Requirements

• Active Texas NMLS license required
• Minimum 1 year of mortgage origination experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated with ability to manage pipeline independently
• Proficiency with loan origination software (experience with Encompass or similar a plus)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Non-QM, DSCR, or specialty loan products
• Established referral network in the Houston metro area
• Bilingual Spanish (see separate listing)

Compensation

Commission-based compensation. Structure and split to be discussed based on experience and production history. Wholesale lender access and back-office support provided.
